It was very well written and thought-out, and I could really emphasize with the character. I loved the opening where you step outside and everything is destroyed. Maybe at the time I just liked the idea of a rich lover who is totally devoted to me. Its not all dry though: I did like Sumika a bit though with her witty lines and moeness, (certainly more than in the 2nd half of Alternate where her character was sacrificed for the sake of drama.) I also liked Meiya more in this route than any of the following ones where she was obssesed with her Samurai duty or whatever. In the end, none of it really mattered–with all of the flashbacks in Alternate, an hour of gameplay might’ve been sufficent. I skipped an awful lot of slapstick, but it was difficult because I wasn’t sure what parts were useful foreshadowing amid all the fluff.
